Brisbane Fashion Festival 2021 launched in spectacular style with the Treasury Brisbane Fashion Show. Featuring some of the most coveted designers in Australian fashion, the show set the scene for the Festival’s new-look return to Brisbane, in the heart of the city at King George Square. Pre-show, guests were treated to drinks and canapés in the exclusive VIP Runway Lounge.
Brisbane Festival will fill the city with art, music, dance, theatre, cabaret and joy. The unique program features an awe-inspiring line-up of premiere productions, cutting edge collaborations, commissioned new work, award-winning performances, surprising venues and the brand new BOQ Festival Hub. The many highlights include the Australian premiere of Circa’s luminous Silver City and First Nations Fashion – Walking in Two Worlds curated by Grace Lillian Lee.
Set along Currumbin Beach, this free 10-day outdoor exhibition presents small, medium and large-scale sculptures, installations, performance and digital works from more than 100 Queensland artists and over 145 Australian and international artists. You can also experience pop-up exhibitions across the Gold Coast including westerlySWELL at Mudgeeraba and Lower Beechmont, easterlySWELL at Chevron Island and northerlySWELL at Helensvale.
